Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day! We all donned our Canada t-shirts today. It was still windy and cold so when we went out we had to cover up a bit, but the thought was there. I also taped some little flags to the balcony railings. We did not see any other Canadians in La Baule. At least none who were celebrating.

After breakfast we headed down to the beach. The beach was pretty empty given the weather, but that just meant we had more space to spread out our stuff.
Zita, Clara and Duncan down on the beach. You can just see someone in the
upper left there starting to encroach on their space.

We brought some of our favourite small toys with us. We also took a walk
through town and bought a couple of buckets with shovels and stuff.
Wandering through town we ran across a Swiss Chalet! No idea if it's the same
as what we get at home or not, but kind of interesting. And look! The lady in
middle of the pic is carrying a baguette. The baguette is ever present in
France. You would be hard pressed to take a crowd shot and not include
at least one baguette.
And thankfully we found the local Mister Store. I keed. No idea what they sell.
A lovely first day in La Baule, albeit a bit chilly and cloudy.
Happy Canada Day!
